MODERN NAILS FOR THE MODERN BRIDE

You and your dress aren’t the only ones that people will have their eyes on come your wedding day! All eyes will be on your hands too - from detailed shots, signing your marriage certificate to demands to see your new wedding ring - they are going to get some serious spotlight! So let us help with some modern day nail inspo for the modern bride!

1.

Nothing says classic quite like a French tip, but don't think you need to stick with the classic style if it doesn't call out to you. For a TMB take on the traditional mani, play with the colour of the tip or try curving and elongating the shape of it into a design.

If you want to make a bold statement consider a black french tip or an abstract white/black design (like the one shown above). Bold brides, this one is for you.

Pro tip: Personally, I ask for a very thin french tip with an almond shape. Regardless of your length, this is super chic (and it works with any colour you want, trust me I’ve done them all). * Keep this tip in mind for further nail inspo

P.S - the coffin shape can work if done right.

2.

Go for slight or full glam with a metallic in your mani! Gold/rose gold/silver french tips or a metalic outlined look would be a show stopping pop of interest for your big day! We recommend matching the metal of your engagement ring to prevent the colours from clashing. (But these days, mixing metals is very trendy, so you do you).

Pro tip: I’ve asked for a chrome french tip in gold (like the one pictured on top above), chrome doesn’t last long, so if you want it then get them at least a couple of days before the wedding if your doing a tip and you don’t want it to chip - this rule doesn’t apply to full nail chrome. Just the tip ;)

3.

For an elegant look, consider a dainty floral design! Nothing screams bridal more than a beautiful flower design - and you can make them as ‘barley there’ or as loud as you want! (Plus, floral anything is perfect for a spring or summer wedding!)

Queue Devil Wears Prada quote: "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking."

Pro tip: Research your nail salons and scour their instagrams. If you see nail designs you like, when you book ask for that nail artist.

4.

Nothing says “detail oriented’ like tiny delicate designs painted on your nails. If you’re as specific as they come, this style is a fresh and contemporary approach to an elevate a traditional look. For the brides who have an abstract vision, why not add different colours to the designs? It’s unexpected, and can be as bold or toned down as you want it to be!

It’s your day have fun with it.

Pro tip: If you see something you like, make sure to show your nail artist. Also, do your research on the salon and who specializes in what!

5.

This pearly, nude, minimal look is a perfect addition to any bridal look. A bit feminine, girly and classic, this bridal mani has us swooning. Both flattering and chic, aka the perfect touch for your wedding day look. This is definitely being seen everywhere and known best as the ‘Hailey Bieber Nail’. Bonus: The classic hue will never go out of style.

Pro tip: If you want the ‘Hailey Bieber Nail’ go into the salon with the picture ready. They are the pros and can recreate anything you show them.
