Real Bride: Sam & Brad

When we saw the photos from Sam & Brad’s wedding, we instantly fell in love. Every detail of this wedding looked so beautifully thought out and so special, and really reflected the couple of the occasion. From the colour palette and flowers, down to the vintage car and wedding bands (made by Sam herself!), this wedding is such a good example of bringing in details that feel uniquely like you and your partner.

How did this love story begin?

Brad and I went to the same high school, and we were two years apart. We knew of each other, but hung out in different friend circles. I was really shy so nothing ended up happening back then. A few years after we graduated, Brad’s brother Ryan, set us up on a date. As soon as I saw him something clicked and I knew I was in trouble! We have been together ever since.

How would you describe your wedding style?

Brad and I went into our wedding planning with the goal of everyone having fun and enjoying themselves. We both love spending time with our families and wanted everyone involved in the day. I love colour and vintage style, so this played a big part in the decor. I chose a favourite colour combo of mine, periwinkle blue and gold as our main decor theme. I wanted the flowers to be full of different colours and look as if they were bunches of wildflowers. Our theme of a vintage inspired, summery vibe definitely came through and we were so happy with the results!

Favourite Wedding moment?

There were a few magic moments that happened during the day. The ceremony had lots of tears and laughs with our families, and the morning getting ready with my mom, sister and bridesmaids was so relaxed and fun, I will never forget it. My Nonno drove me to the church in his 1961 T-Bird, and my Dad holding my hand up the aisle was a dream come true. Then seeing Brad and sitting beside him through the ceremony was so special. I couldn't believe it was finally happening!

Any advice for future TMB brides?

Keep a sense of humour during the process and remember that on the big day, you are going to feel so happy that nothing will get in the way of that. Stay calm, take it all in, and enjoy your moment together!

Any other tidbits you’d like to share?

I felt like a million bucks in my wedding dress, it was comfortable and elegant and I felt like myself. The vintage-style lace on my dress was so beautiful, once I choose the long veil to match, I could see the look come together and that was so exciting. Thank you to TMB for your excellent service and for the experience!
