At TMB we do things differently, finding your dress is all about YOU. We offer an exclusive bridal experience and our stylists are trained thoroughly to give you the best possible experience.  There is a lot that goes into an exceptional bridal experience and we know you deserve the best! This fee goes towards the purchase of your dress when you say yes during your initial appointment!

We no longer have a maximum guest count for our appointments. Our couches comfortably seat 4-6 guests, so guests over and above this number may have to squish or stand for the duration of the appointment. We always recommend that you bring your key decision makers with you so that you can say YES!

We are a small business and by appointment only, last minute cancellations and no-shows impact us.

This also means another bride on our waitlist misses out on a spot they could have taken. Your card wilI be charged a no show fee if you fail to cancel your appointment within the allotted time frame. We are happy to reschedule your appointment for you should something come up, we get it! Just give us as much notice as you can!

We kindly ask that only infants who are still in the carrier stage come to your appointment.

$2500-$12,000 + HST! The majority of our gowns fall between $3000-$5500!

We also have a selection of sample gowns available to purchase off-the-rack that range from $500-$3000, great for brides who are limited on time or looking for a great deal!

A trunk show is where a particular designer sends a collection of dresses to TMB for a limited period of time for brides to view additional styles, outside of what The Modern Bride has previously curated in the boutique. In some cases, you will be able to see the entire collection! Trunk shows are by appointment only and tend to book up quickly; they are here for a limited time. On some occasions, with certain designers, there is a special offer of 10% OFF your purchase during a trunk show.

Every designer is different! The average production time is 5-10 months, there are some rush options that you can choose from and we can go through those if you are working on a tight timeline.

YES! All dresses, no matter how you measure on the size chart will need little tweaks to make sure it fits like a glove. We don’t offer alterations in house, we leave that to the professionals. After you say YES to your dream dress, we will email you a list of our recommended seamstresses!

Our job as stylists is to help you envision what the dress will look like in your size! While there are challenges that come from buying from a sample gown just know we are here to support and use everything at our disposal to make you feel great!

Nude nude nude. A high-waisted seamless thong or underwear is all you need! If you prefer to wear shapewear on your day bring those along too!

Nope! None of the amazing TMB Stylists work on commission! It’s a team sport here at TMB! If you feel your stylist went above and beyond you are welcome to leave them a tip upon purchase, or a Google review!

In order to help ensure our boutique and dresses remain as pristine as possible, we kindly ask you do not bring any outside food or drink.

You’re human it happens, however we are unable to stop production of your gown or issue a refund. Dress regret happens sometimes, start by just giving us a call! In all likelihood you just need to come try on that dress again and we can arrange that! You fell in love with it for a reason, remember that!
