Real Bride: Olivia and Jason
1. How did your love story begin?
Don’t most love stories these days start online? Jason and I actually met online (admittedly..Tinder haha). Our first date was at The Albion chatting on the patio over a couple of beers, and a walk around Guelph. Everything just clicked. Almost six years later, here we are!
2. What was your favourite part of the wedding planning process?
FINALLY being able to celebrate with our closest family and friends (and our two dogs) after postponing a year due to COVID and constant lockdowns, it felt amazing to finally be surrounded by so much love and excitement!
3. Favourite/epic moment from your big day?
Jason and I both agree, our first look was definitely our favourite part of the day! We decided to say our own personal vows to each other at our first look, and it was so special. All the anticipation and excitement, just made for a super emotional moment shared by just the two of us (and our photographer and videographer lol).
4. How would you describe your wedding style?
For us, getting married in an orchard just felt right, we started the tradition of going apple picking every year when we first started dating, then in 2018 Jason proposed while we were apple picking — so what better location than in an orchard. I wanted our day to have a really romantic/garden party vibe — with lots of blooms, candles and twinkly lights, with blush, champagne and gold accents. We had such an amazing team of vendors to bring it all together, and I couldn’t not have been happier with how it turned out!
5. Any other tidbits you would like to share?
The day truly does fly by, and you’re being pulled in a million different directions throughout the day, try to take moments for yourselves just the two of you. All the craziness of planning will be worth it — you’ve waited a long time for this, it’s time to enjoy!
