What can I say about Ginny?? We were destined to be friends from the day she told me about her woodland wedding!! Once she found her dress with us we chatted about Day-Of Coordination and I jumped at the chance to help bring her vision to life!
Every step of the planning process was laced with her laid back positivity and as soon as I met Ty it was clear that this wedding was not only going to be breathtaking but it was a true match. The picturesque wooded aisle, personalized vows, and inspired speeches didn't leave a dry eye in the house. Ginny and Ty made sure that this day reflected them, their bond with each other and included those closest to them (including a very large - albeit sweetest - bridal party!) One of the most memorable weddings of 2016!
Their 'how did you guys meet?' story is one for the books! Ginny describes;
"I saw Tyler first-year university. He was the quiet shy guy who always wore a brown hat, head down and was constantly listening to music. I was always drawn to him, however, I only saw him in passing. As the years went by, I was eventually in one of his classes, however, I was too nervous to talk to him. Finally one day I sparked a conversation while in the gym, asking about his training. I would try my best to chat with him when I ran into him at the gym throughout our 5 years at Brock University. Tyler was working at the health clinic completing an athletic therapy course and became my trainer after I suffered a hamstring injury. That would be the only time I would see him. However, one day during 3rd year while taking the bus to class, I saw him running down the hill back to his house. In my head I remember thinking, if I ever got a chance to date that guy, I would marry him. On the day of our convocation (graduation), I remember chatting with my best friend and maid of honour Nathalie about how I had always had a crush on Tyler. Together we went to chat with him, and Nathalie ended up inviting him to come to the bar. After we went our separate ways, I said to Nat that if he came into the bar I would finally tell him how I felt all these years. Just as we were about to head out the door, Tyler walked in. Nat gentle pushed me in his direction and said now was my chance. With some liquid courage, I finally went up and talked to him. I told him that I had always had a crush on him and that every time I was single he was in a relationship and vice versa. I informed him that I was in a relationship and that it was coming to an end, and that if he was interested he could message me on Facebook. I left the bar after that, and just as I was walking to my friend’s car in the parking lot he ran to me and said that he did not want to wait. He asked for my number and we have been together ever since."
Married in a wood as beautiful as these two? Yes, please!
Favourite wedding moment?
"Ginny: Walking down the aisle in the forest towards Tyler, saying our vows, placing the ring on his finger and being announced husband and wife.
Tyler: When the music started and Ginny walked down the aisle towards me."
How's this for a bridal party?!? Ginny told me throughout the planning process about this epic bridal party AND that she knew there were A LOT of them but she couldn't imagine her day without them!
Any wisdom for future TMB brides?
"Enjoy the being in moment, for the day will come and go in the blink of an eye."
Any other tidbits you want share?
"Don't take the whole day too seriously! The funny speeches are often the best! I am known for making my own almond milk etc. and during the best man's speech he made a comment telling me to let Tyler eat his own yogurt and not that "homemade shit" I make."
I am so glad that I got to be a small part of your day! It was an absolute treat to be able to help bring this unique wedding to life and take care of the little details while you two enjoyed the company of your family, friends and most of all each other. I will remember this wedding, and your genuine love for each other for years to come!
Wishing you every happiness and so much fun on your adventures together!!
